Bush’s Vision For A Terrorist State

By John Roberts, July 9, 2002

What is the significance and relevance of this story to last days prophecy?

I am extremely offended that my country, the United States, and our President, George Bush, would offer up something so contrary to the Word of God as resolution 1397.

No U.S. President, United Nations, European Union, Russian Federation, Saudi Crown Prince, Antichrist, or any other demonic power on earth will every establish a lasting and just peace in the Middle East.  Nor will they every set the permanent boundaries of the nation of Israel or divide the city of Jerusalem.

Why?  Because prophecy tells us what is going to happen in the Middle East, and before there is peace there is going to be war and tribulation.  Every Christian should know, including the President, that the Antichrist will establish a seven year treaty with Israel, which he will break after three and a half years. He will put an end to sacrifice and set up his image in the Temple. The Beast will then seek to kill all Jews and Christians. And when the nations gather to attack Israel Jesus Christ will return to crush Israel's enemies and establish His physical kingdom on earth from the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

The President is getting bad advice from somewhere.  If I had his ear I would tell the President to establish a policy for the Middle East that does not bring us into opposition with the will of God.  The Jews are God's chosen people.  Israel is a nation created by God.  Jerusalem is God's Holy City.

This is a mystery, but the Jews and Israel serve as a type of living example of God's relationship with all of us as individuals.  God has called us out of a lost world just as He did Abraham.  If we hear His voice and obey His word then we too become heirs to the promise and will receive our inheritance in the Kingdom of God.

Today millions of gentiles and a remnant of Jews have been born again in Christ.  But Israel as a nation has rejected the Lord, and like the prodigal son they have yet to return home to their Father.  But make no mistake about it the day is coming in their darkest hour the Jews will accept Christ and be saved; when all seams lost but Jesus Christ returns to fight for His people.

Zechariah 12:10

"And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they have pierced; they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn."

God has not given up on the Jews just like He did not give up on all of us gentile sinners.  God has a spiritual and physical restoration plan for Israel.

Zechariah 10:6 says:

"I will strengthen the house of Judah,
And I will save the house of Joseph.
I will bring them back,
Because I have mercy on them.
They shall be as though I had not cast them aside;
For I am the Lord their God, And I will hear them."

The creation of the State of Israel in 1948 was the fulfillment of prophecy, the gathering of the Jews back to their land.  But God has a lot more in store for His people, all of which is intended to bring the Jews as a nation to Christ.

Prophecy tells us that President Bush and the United Nations are not going to solve the crisis in the Middle East.  They are wrong to ask Israel to give up more land for peace.  The Palestinians and Islam will never live in peaceful coexistence with the Jews.  The Arab strategy is to negotiate Israel into a position of weakness before they launch their next attack.

There is a reason why scripture makes no mention of a Palestinian State in the Promised Land.  God made the promise to the Jews.  When Christ returns the borders of Israel will be greatly enlarged and no pagan will ever step foot in Jerusalem again.

But for now it appears that Israel stands alone against her enemies.  Islamic terrorists are murdering innocent Israelis every day while the U.N. does nothing but ask Israel to make more concessions.  The world is united in their hatred of the Jews.  Look at the misery that just nineteen Islamic terrorists brought upon the United States.  Israel is surrounded by millions of Islamic terrorists.  Where can the Jews go for help?  I wonder?

Zechariah 12:8-10

8     In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.
9     And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
10     And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
